Beautiful scenery, good air quality, and an abundance of wildlife enhance the experience.
Hiking, Horseback Riding, and Mountain Biking
Miles of beautiful trails meander through ancient oak forested canyons, lush meadows, and up chaparral covered hillsides leading to ridge tops with spectacular views. In the spring, the area comes alive with wildflowers, adding to the enjoyment of visitors.
Trails in the park also connect to adjacent community trails, and there are efforts in progress to enable connections to the Pacific Crest and the Santa Ana River Trails.
Camping
Limited farming in the past provides potential for excellent camp site locations without any additional disturbance to the park area - meadows surrounded by mountains, shady sites among the trees, sites at higher elevations with spectacular views - just about any environment in which to spend your stay.
Field Trips
Biologists have noted an unusually high concentration of both flora and fauna in the park area. The Conservancy holds nature walks and birdwatching trips throughout the year, and school-sponsored field trips enable students to study a variety of sciences in their natural setting. The adjacent Wildlands Conservancy hosts educational programs throughout the year attacting thousands of visitors.
